That's because it is a shrimp (plant)!
This particular flower is very near and dear to my heart as the traditional garden I grew up in at the island I'm from had a few flowering bushes of these bad boys. It's truly beautiful how across continents, completely different people can look at a plant and think "Yeah, that looks like shrimp".
The beloved "Shrimp Plant" is originally native to Mexico, but is currently loved by many around the world thanks to how low-maintenance this cutie is! Medium to high sun exposure and barely any watering requirements make this a foolproof houseplant for idiots like myself living in excruciatingly hot climates.
